- A Rotterdam, New York man was operating his Harley Davidson motorcycle on Route 7 in the Town of Duanesburg, when he struck the rear of a automobile who was slowing down to make a left-hand turn. The police charged the Harley operator with following too closely and put the full blame for the accident on him. John Massaroni, of Capasso & Massaroni, tried the case before a jury in Schenectady County Supreme Court. He called to the stand on behalf of the motorcyclist a traffic safety engineer who testified that due to the automobile operator's erratic driving, the motorcyclist was unable to properly judge the distance between him and the car before him. The jury found in favor of the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist and his wife received an award of $232,500.00.
- A Schenectady man was operating his Yamaha motorcycle when an individual operating an automobile took a left-hand turn in front of him. The motorcyclist was injured when he hit the passenger side of the automobile. The operator of the automobile claimed that the motorcyclist was speeding, and he was unable to see the motorcycle before he took his turn. After litigation, Capasso & Massaroni was able to obtain a settlement of $600,000.00 for the motorcyclist.
