John R. Seebold is a graduate of Union College (B.A. 1986) and Syracuse University College of Law (J.D. 1989). He is admitted to the New York State Bar, the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
He is a member of the American, New York State and Schenectady County Bar Associations, (chair-sunshine and awards committee) the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association. John was the President of the Schenectady County Bar Association from 2003-2005, Vice President from 2001-2003 and Treasurer from 1996-2001. He was also the President of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association in 2010 after having previously served as the organization’s Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. John has lectured for a number of organizations in his areas of professional practice.
John lives with his daughters, Mariah and Gabrielle, in Schoharie. When not practicing law, John enjoys working on his house, traveling and playing golf.
John is an Eagle Scout. He is active in the community and is a member of the Schoharie Main Street Revitalization Committee. He is also President of the Alumni Organization for his undergraduate fraternity, Delta Phi of Union College.
